● About

I’m just a hopeless romantic, inspired by art and the beauty that surrounds us everywhere.

Behind all of this.

I’m Elena Silva, Graphic Designer and Art Director with more than ten years of experience.

I grew up in a tiny town in the south of Spain, where there wasn’t much to do, but that little place was full of beauty. Observing and admiring all that beauty became one of my favorite things to do.

I like to think I was a bit like AmΓ©lie Poulain from AmΓ©lie, a little lost in my own world, easily distracted by the smallest details, always trying to romanticize everyday life.

As a kid, I spent most of my time taking photos of the beach, drawing, writing and covering my bedroom walls with Leonardo DiCaprio posters…. Then my sister got this enormous old computer, and I discovered Microsoft Paint. I was instantly hooked. The only problem was... the computer technically belonged to her, and she wasn't particularly interested in sharing. So my design career began in short, highly negotiated sessions.

Somehow, that was the beginning of everything.

These days, you'll usually find me switching between graphic design, analog photography, video editing, and mixed-media animation. I love the endless possibilities of digital tools, but I also enjoy slowing things down with handcrafted techniques. There's something strangely satisfying about cutting, sticking, scanning, making a mess, and pretending it was all part of the plan.

Art, design and beauty have always been at the heart of everything I do, and I hope they continue to bring me the same joy for many years to come.

Thank you for reading this far. This is me. Curious, a little dreamy, far from perfect, constantly learning, trying to be a good person, and still just as excited about design as I was the day I opened Microsoft Paint for the first time.
